McGann & Chester’s Heavy Towing Pittsburg team was proud to help out a local truck driver with brake issues. The driver was working at a fracking well site when he realized he was having brake problems. Unsure of the exact nature of his brake issues, he called in the mobile diesel mechanics at McGann & Chester to have a look.
The team made their way to the wellsite and immediately began a comprehensive assessment of the 3 axle trailer. Needless to say, saying the truck had brake problems was definitely an understatement! The brakes needed new drums, bearings, seals, and air canisters! The team towed the truck back to their repair shop to undergo further assessments.
Once they had a full proposal and quote ready, they consulted with the truck owner. This 3 axle trailer was from 1981 so most of the parts needed to fix it had to be custom ordered. When they received the approval from the owner, they immediately made the orders for the spare parts. While they were waiting for the parts to arrive, the team helped manually move 200 drill pipes from the broken trailer to a new one. This way, there would be no delays in the well project!
When the spare parts arrived, the team commenced what would be a 40 hour repair job! At the end of the day, there is never a job that is too big or too complex for the McGann & Chester team.
